A living legacy since 1779

Domaine de la Meulière, based in the village of Fleys near Chablis, is one of Burgundy’s oldest family-run estates. Founded in 1779 and now led by brothers Nicolas and Vincent Laroche, the domaine represents nine generations of dedication to precision, authenticity, and respect for the land. Covering 30 hectares across 40 parcels in Béru, Chablis, Chichée, Fontenay, and Fleys, the vineyards are rooted in Kimmeridgian limestone — the geological foundation of Chablis’ renowned minerality.

Certified High Environmental Value (HVE) Level 3, the estate follows a philosophy of agroecology and sustainability. Manual harvesting, permanent cover cropping, and minimal intervention viticulture protect both biodiversity and grape integrity. In the cellar, Nicolas crafts wines that balance tradition and innovation, vinifying in stainless steel, oak, and terracotta amphorae to bring out the nuances of each terroir. Together, the Laroche brothers continue the family’s legacy with both respect for heritage and a forward-looking vision.

Chablis AOC Villages 2023

From 20–30-year-old vines on southeast-facing slopes in Fleys, this wine embodies the purity of Chablis. Vinified and aged in stainless steel, it delivers freshness and precision: pale in color with green highlights, the nose reveals flint, lemon blossom, and orchard fruit. On the palate, crisp acidity and saline minerality provide a clean, balanced finish. Approachable in youth for its vivid fruit, it also has the structure to age 5–8 years.

Chablis 1er Cru Les Fourneaux 2023

Sourced from the southeast-facing slopes of Fleys, this Premier Cru reflects freshness and minerality. A crystalline robe introduces discreet aromas that open to hay, pear, and chalk. The palate is taut, elegant, and mineral-driven, shaped by firm tension. A wine of finesse that may be enjoyed young for its clarity, or cellared for 10–12 years to develop further complexity.

Chablis 1er Cru ‘Les Fourneaux – Les Jarres d’un Secret’ 2022

Vinified and aged for 22 months in terracotta amphorae, this cuvée highlights purity and finesse through gentle micro-oxygenation. With its creamy, rounded mouthfeel and aromas of pear, it balances power and elegance while retaining freshness. Dense yet supple, it promises a long drinking window, best enjoyed between 2025 and 2037.

Chablis 1er Cru ‘Mont de Milieu – Orgasme’ 2022

From 70-year-old vines on due south-facing slopes, this limited cuvée is marked by low yields and exceptional concentration. Its bouquet evolves from citrus and white flowers to hazelnut and oyster-shell minerality, with layers of depth emerging over time. The palate is vibrant, dense, and saline, carried by a firm backbone of acidity. Both powerful and precise, it is built for long aging — over 20 years — yet already captivating in its youth.
